Mission Statement
The Jewish Forum ("TJF")
was established to
present innovative, stimulating and sophisticated opportunities for adult Jewish
learning, conversation, and debate. Our target audience is the broader Jewish
community, in terms of both ideology and geography.
The organization does
not duplicate the efforts of other organizations and institutions
which have served, and continue to serve the larger Jewish community in this
area. Indeed, we join forces with a few of these entities, creating
associations that can produce unprecedented adult learning opportunities.
The Jewish Forum is
committed to quality, not uniformity. We do not follow any particular
programming template repeatedly. We offer major lectures, symposia,
series of shiurim, debates, home-based salons, town meetings, and more,
and with occasional cultural events in the literary, performing, and visual
arts.. and more. We take advantage of technology that will allow us to benefit
from distant program sources, and use the same technology locally to share
the programming that we create with others around North America and around the
world interactively.
